SHIPPING
Do you ship internationally?
We ship anywhere within the United Kingdom. but unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally.
How long does shipping take?
Orders placed before 1pm, using Standard delivery are expected to be delivered within 2-3 working days (Monday – Friday), subject to any delays by Royal Mail. Orders placed after 1pm, are expected to be delivered within 3-4 working days (Monday – Friday), Express delivery is also available via DPD and is generally at least 1 working day quicker than the Standard delivery option. Please note that delays within the delivery network, are outside of our control, and therefore we can make no guarantees as to the exact timeframes for delivery. However, we will provide you with tracking information to assist with locating and monitoring parcels.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated, based on the volume, weight and delivery location of items ordered. Costs for each order, will be displayed at checkout.
How do I track my parcel?
For standard deliveries (using the Royal Mail tracked and signed service), you can track your parcel by entering the tracking reference number, that we send you, into the below web page:
For express shipping, we use DPD Local. Once we have delivered it to our local shop, you will receive a confirmation email, which contains tracking information. Alternatively, you can use the below web page to enter the DPD parcel reference number and your post code:
DELIVERY
Do I have to show photo ID when asked by the courier?
Please note that the courier or delivery company may ask you for photo ID to prove that you are over 18. If you are unable to do so when asked, then please be aware that they do have the right to refuse delivery. Accepted forms of photo ID are:
- Current valid (signed) full EU Passport
- Current valid (signed) non-EU Passport
- Current valid National ID card (non-UK Nationals)
- Current Full UK Driving Licence
- Current UK / EU Photocard Driving Licence with Counterpart
- Current State Pension notification letter
- Identity Card by Electoral Office of Northern Ireland
What should I do about an error on the order details I provided?
Please get in touch straight away, making sure to include your order number. We will implement the changes where possible but if the order has already been fulfilled then we will, unfortunately, be unable to make any changes.
RETURNS
What is your Returns policy?
- On receipt of your order, please check it carefully and notify us immediately if you have the incorrect item, or if the goods are damaged. If the goods are damaged, then please contact us straight away with your contact details and photographic evidence of the damaged/incorrect item(s). You must inform us within 14 days of receipt of the goods, otherwise you will be deemed to have accepted the items.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it in. It must also be in the original packaging with the seal unbroken and the label intact. All return shipping fees are payable by the customer, as we are unable to refund you for your postal fees. Please mail your product to: 6 Nevern Gardens, Biddenham, Bedford MK40 4RW. If you are shipping items with a value more than £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
- To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back without first acquiring a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number as it will be rejected and returned to sender. RMA numbers are issued after contacting peter @ swanknightdistillery . com (removing the spaces) and the refund is deemed acceptable by us.
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund after inspecting the product.
- If approved then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7 days. If you haven’t received a refund after 7 days from acceptance of refund status, then please contact your original method of payment company as it can take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- If you’ve done this and you still have not received your refund, then please contact us at peter @ swanknightdistillery . com (removing the spaces) stating your original order number, method of payment and approved RMA Number and we will investigate.
NUTRITION/ ALLERGENS
Is your rum suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes – our golden spiced rum is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Does the rum contain nuts?
Our rum is made in a facility that uses nuts in other products and whilst we take every precaution to avoid cross contamination, we cannot guarantee there would not be trace elements of nut allergens present in any of our products.
Is your rum gluten free?
Rum is created using molasses, rather than grain-based products. However, our rum is made in a facility that uses wheat in other products and whilst we take every precaution to avoid cross contamination, we cannot guarantee there would not be trace elements of wheat allergens present in any of our products.

ABOUT THE RUM
What is the ABV?
The ABV (Alcohol By Volume) for the rum is 40% and is stated on both the product page and the bottles.
What sizes does your rum come in?
The golden, spiced rum comes in 70cl/700ml bottles.
What is the shelf life of rum and how do you store rum?
We recommend storing the rum upright in a cool dark cupboard out of direct sunlight. We would recommend consuming the product within 1 year. However, rum is very stable and if stored correctly, has a long shelf life.
How do you serve your rum?
Our rum can be savoured over ice, enjoyed with a range of mixers or form an essential part of some great cocktails. If you would like more suggestions, then check out our Instagram or Facebook pages or perhaps create your own cocktail and share it with us via social media.
How do I keep up to date on new product releases?

Where can I buy Swan Knight Golden Spiced Rum?
The product can currently be bought via our online shop. However, we are also working on offering our rum through a number of local stockists. Please keep tuned via our blog or social media, for the latest information on this.
